Day camp in Serene Lakes
Camp Overview: Over three days, Headwaters instructors will guide participants through exploring the natural systems around them and creating a short research project.
Session 2 - Water The Source Of Life
Day 1. Campers will play some introductory games and explore water quality at several local sites Dog Beach, Serena Creek, and Lot 1. Campers will then form questions about local water bodies and how to protect them. After lunch at Lot 1, campers go for a short swim before head out to further investigate this watershed.
Day 2. Right after drop-off campers hike to a nearby peak for a picnic lunch and exploration of the local mountainous terrain. Campers will return to Lot 1 around 1:00 for a swim and some games before pick up at 2:30.
Day 3.Campers will start the day with an exploration down Serene Creek Canyon and look at this different waterway. After lunch at Lot 1, campers will go for a short swim before participating in a clean up of the Lot 1 area. Campers will return to Lot 1 at 1:30 to share the results of their insect projects with their fellow campers and participate in some closing camp activities.
Both sessions are unique and campers are welcome to sign up for both. You may sign up multiple children for one or more session in one transaction by adding them to your cart before checkout. However, you will still need to enter the participant details for each session.
Cancelation Policy
Cancelations made up until May 1 will receive a $150 refund. After May 1 the same refund will only be given if someone on the waitlist is able to fill your child's spot.
